5 Little Known Ways To Generate Free Traffic

By MoneyMan | August 2, 2007

Most people have the notion that generating traffic is a one-off event, and it involves spending huge sums of money on advertising.

Nothing can be further from the truth.

First of all, it’s possible to open up streams of autopilot traffic geometrically, surely and steadily over time.

Secondly, it costs next to nothing to do it, if you know how.

Here are 5 instantly implementable methods to open up new traffic streams without needing to spend a dime.

Free Traffic Method #1: Contribute Content

Writing an ebook is a time consuming and arduous task. In comparison, writing a chapter of rock solid content is much easier and more achievable.

I’ve personally been invited to contribute content to many people’s info-products, usually in the form of ‘chapters’, and this has resulted in a lots of quality traffic that is not only free, but presold.

While I understand that a person who is little known might not receive invitations to contribute, one can always solicit permission for your content to be included by publishers.

It’s all a phone call and email away, and if your content is good and your approach is right, a rejection is unlikely, and even if it happens, it’s not gonna kill you, so just tell yourself ‘next’ and move on.

Free Traffic Method #2: Give away Free viral Reports

Put your best content into reports and give it away.

Articles are great, but when you package them as Portable Document Files, there is a greater “perceived value”.

Give away free reports. Allow people to give away your free report to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the internet.

Obviously, your reports will have to be ‘viral’ in order for that to happen.

The best way to make your reports viral, is to include a monetary incentive.

The links within the reports can be made brandable, and it’ll be to your advantage to find some sort of multi-tier affiliate program that will increase your earnings exponentially, because you make money when the person giving away your reports makes money.

It’s a win win situation, and also allows you to use these magic words “make money by giving this report away”.

Free Traffic Method #3: Help Other Publishers

It may surprise you, but your own website visitors may be info publishers as well.

Help them help you by using these magic words, “Use Our Free Content On Your Site Or In Your E-zine” Allow your visitors to use your articles on their own web site or in their e-zine. Just ask them to include your resource box. This will spread your advertising like wildfire all over the internet.

Free Traffic Method #4: Offer Testimonials

If you’re reading this article, chances are you’re an info-junkie. If you’ve bought lots of info products, why not offer an unsolicited testimonial to the info-product creator?

Simply include your URL under your name when giving the testimonial, and if it’s used, you’ll have additional exposure, and traffic.

Obviously, you’d only give a testimonial to a product that you think has value and is good, and not endorse anything or everything under the sun.

Testimonials can bring you traffic and top of the mind awareness, so don’t underestimate the use of something as simple as this.

Free Traffic Method #5: Syndicate Your Content

A word of caution: don’t use JavaScript. Why not? Because search engines don’t ’see’ JavaScript, so JavaScript feeds are useless for SEO. To make newsfeeds visible to search engines, their text has to be embedded into your page.

FACT: If you view the source of your page and you don’t see the actual text of the newsfeed, then search engines aren’t going to see it either.

Intead, do try using Real Simple syndication, or RSS. It’s the buzzword on the Internet. RSS is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing things like news headlines and other web page content.

You have a variety of opportunities for increasing traffic to your website. Publishing your own feed is a great way to cut through all the noise and clutter and get your message directly to your target market. On the other end of the spectrum, importing feeds from other sites or even other parts of your own site and displaying them on your webpages can increase your search engine rankings by automatically keeping your website full of fresh, relevant information

If you’re a little lazy and not too motivated, you’ll be glad to know that regardless of what topic or subject matter you’ve built your website around, there’s valuable content out there… articles and information written by an “expert” in that particular field.

Because a large portion of it is available through the magic of RSS feed capability - YOU don’t have to create the content yourself! Yes, you can profit from other people’s content.

There you have it, 5 easy ways to start getting free traffic fast.

Now, go get it!

5 Ways To Increase Website Traffic To Your Website.

By MoneyMan | August 1, 2007

Millions of websites online can be placed in their own special category of “Deserted Town”. The only life you can find there are those of the webmasters who created them. This is because they get very few, if any, targeted visitors. For these website owners, there are simple techniques they can use to increase website traffic.

Read on and I will give you five ways to increase website traffic to your website. These aren’t hidden secrets and they won’t give you millions of hits per month for just $ 9.99. (I’m sure you know what I mean). However they are effective and using them will increase website traffic to your website. And the visitors that you get will be more profitable because they will be targeted.

Increase Website Traffic

You can pay to increase website traffic. (I’ve decided to get the money spending out of the way first). There are many ways you can pay to increase website traffic; here are three (3) popular ones.

Before you use any of these paying methods to increase website traffic to your website, I want you to first examine your website with your ideal customer in mind. What keywords will they use to find your website in the search engines? Write them down.

Increase Website Traffic - technique 1

Pay-Per-Click

Now you’re ready to increase website traffic with pay-per-click search engines. Start by using the keywords you have written down, go to the free keyword suggestion tool at digitalpoint.com and type in the search box one keyword at a time and press the ‘suggest’ button.

The results will show you how many people search for your keyword each day and also suggests other keywords you can use and the number of visits they get each day. Write down this information or create a spreadsheet with the headings ‘keyword’, ‘visits per day’, and ‘pay-per-click cost’. Your pay per click cost depends on which pay-per-click search engine you use, the competition for your keywords and on how much you’re willing to pay for a click.

Once you’ve finished the spreadsheet, sign up for an account with the pay-per-click-search engine of your choice and bid on your keywords.

You will notice that the keywords with the most visits per day cost more per click than those with less. To get more clicks for your money the trick is to bid on those keywords with have a few visitors a day. There is less competition for these keywords so your bid price should be low.

Increase Website Traffic - technique 2

Ezine Ads

When using ezine ads place them in ezines which are related to your market, which have subscribers who would be interested in your product or service. You can find ezines in ezine directories and you should be subscribed to a few of them already, start with these.

Increase Website Traffic - technique 3

Website Ads

For website ads, use the keyword list you made for your pay-per-click marketing. Starting with the keyword that gets the most visits per day, do a search at a search engine. Research the first ten (10) to twenty (20) websites looking for any information which indicates that they sell advertising space on their website, like ‘Advertise With Us’. If you don’t see any advertising information look for a ‘Contact’ page or email address and send a message asking if advertising is sold on their website and if so then what’s the cost. Once you’ve finished this research, choose where to place your ads.

Increase Website Traffic - technique 4

Search Engine Optimization

To find information online most people go to are the search engines first. If you’re not list in at least the first two pages of search engine results for your keywords, then you’re missing out on a lot of free targeted website traffic.

To increase website traffic for your website using this technique here is a free resource for you to help optimize your website so that you can access this free website traffic source.

Click=> http://aff-masters.sitesell.com/home21.html

Increase Website Traffic - technique 5

Article Writing

Another way to increase website traffic is by writing articles for your niche market and submitting them to article directories and ezine editors. Your increased website traffic will come from the resource box at the end of your articles. The resource box is like a 4 to 6 line ad telling your readers who you are and to encourage them to seek more information on your website by clicking on your website link, which you will provide.

One advantage of article writing, beside the free increased website traffic, is that it will make you an expert in the eyes of your readers. This will increase your credibility and your readers trust in you causing them to open their minds and wallets to your recommendations.

Like I said earlier the five (5) techniques I’ve written about here to increase website traffic to your website are not hidden secrets, they’re nothing new. They are used everyday by website owners whose websites are far from deserted. So start using one of the techniques today and see how it goes, then try another.

5 Lesser-Known Online Business Ideas

By MoneyMan | July 31, 2007

1. Ask people to find a hidden link in your ad copy. If they find the hidden link tell them they will get a prize or freebie by clicking on it. This will increase the chance that they will buy your product or service because they will read your whole ad copy.

2. Start a members only web site. Tell visitors what’s in your members only site and what it costs to get access. Offer them a free membership, if, in exchange they link to your web site, post your banner on their home page or agree to advertise your web site in their e-zine for a set period of time. Usually they will agree to the free advertising to save money. This is a powerful way to get free advertising.

3. Want a popular discussion board? This technique is based on the number of postings made by any one person. You could give away a free product or service to any person that posts ten or more messages on your discussion in a month. It could be a free e-book, report, e-mail consulting etc. Just keep track of everyone’s postings each month. This could also work for e-mail discussion lists.

4. Give your visitors an instant article directory. Tell your visitors they can instantly add a free article directory to their web site by linking to yours. Just place your ad or banner ad on top of the article directory for your main product or service. All those links can add up to a large amount of traffic for your web site.

5. There a millions of web sites on the internet. Instead of marketing your web site as a web site. Market it as a free web book. Design your web site with a title page, table of contents, chapters, etc. Just place your ad or banner for your product or service on the top of each web page.

5 Ways to Get More Traffic to Your Site

By MoneyMan | July 30, 2007

One thing you can never have too much of online is web site traffic. If you’re looking for ways to drive more visitors to your site, try these traffic generating tips…

TRAFFIC TIP #1: Develop Several Pages Focused On Particular Keywords

Search Engine specialists don’t recommend using external doorway or gateway pages, since sites are being penalized for having duplicate pages. Instead, develop several webpages on your site, each of which is focused on a different keyword or key phrase. For example, rather than listing all your services on a single webpage, try developing a separate one for each. These pages will rank higher for their keywords since they contain targeted rather than general content. And since not many people are doing this yet you’ll find it’s possible to get several top 10 rankings.

TRAFFIC TIP #2: Pay Super Affiliates To Promote Your Site

Hand pick webmasters with popular sites or list owners with large, responsive lists and offer them $100 just for signing up for your affiliate program and promoting your link. With this approach you’ll definitely get their attention and ensure that you sign up real affiliates who will actively promote your products and services. Even just 3 or 4 of these affiliates can cause a substantial increase in your site’s traffic (and your sales!).

TRAFFIC TIP #3: Give Away Your Product Or Service To Influential People

In every target market there is a group of people who are the “influencers”. They’re the ones who like to try new products and are very outspoken when they find something they like. The best way to reach these people is to start a word of mouth advertising campaign. Do this by giving away early versions of your product or service to the influencers in your industry and encourage them to spread the word to everyone they know.

TRAFFIC TIP #4: Create An Advergame Specific To Your Site

Advergames are small online games designed to drive traffic to your site based on their entertainment value. As their name suggests their purpose is to advertise your website, product or service in a fun way. If you design one that becomes popular it can create a substantial amount of traffic to your site. Make the most of this by requiring people to give their name and email address before they can play so that you can follow up with them later. The best part is if your game is fun and unique people will tell everyone they know. What a great viral technique!

TRAFFIC TIP #5: Do A Direct Mail Campaign Using Postcards

Postcards have become a favorite advertising method of online marketers because they’re easy to design, inexpensive and they almost always get read. The added bonus is that not only does the recipient read it but often so do several other people along the way. To get started with a postcard campaign use your current customer list and send them a special offer. Another option is to find someone with a list and ask if you can pay them per postcard to send your offer. Or, find a reputable list company and purchase a list of potential customers. Remember though, like all advertising you can’t send one card and expect a flood of orders. Create a campaign that includes a minimum of 3 cards to get the maximum benefit.

5 Instant Tips for More Online Sales

By MoneyMan | July 29, 2007

Even after you’ve managed to bring traffic to your site you may be losing sales because of problems with your site’s usability. What’s “usability”?

Usability is how easily people are actually able to use your site. And you may be surprised at how much money you may be losing because your site has usability problems.

Just because you think your site is easy to use, doesn’t mean your average customer does.

Instant Tip # 1: Have someone you know who has the same computer skills as an “average user” for your site check it out.

Have them to do something specific, like purchase a product, sign up for your newsletter or log into an account. Watch what they do, and ask them to speak their thoughts out loud.

Make sure you let them do it on their own. You won’t be there to give your potential customer any directions. If your “tester” finds what they’re looking for, that’s great. If they have trouble, that’s important for you to know.

Once you’ve seen how an “average user” actually uses your website, you can change things to make your site easier to use.

Instant Tip # 2: Use “Web Conventions”. People expect to see things a certain way on the web. When they don’t see them, they get confused.

In sales, a confused mind says “No”.

When you don’t use Web Conventions on your site your visitors get confused and leave. You lose not only a potential sale, but someone who might have become a repeat customer.

Here are some important Web Conventions to keep in mind.

Instant Tip # 3: Have your Navigation across the top or down the left. That’s what people are used to, so don’t confuse them.

Instant Tip # 4: Make sure your links are blue and underlined. This is a very important Web Convention. Make it obvious what is clickable. It’s a good idea to make your buttons 3-D so it’s very clear that they’re buttons.

Instant Tip # 5: Have a sub-heading for each section and make the sub-heading bigger than the rest of the text.

Steve Krug uses the term “Don’t Make Me Think”. The main idea is that the more a visitor has to think, the more it hurts your sales.

Design your site so it’s extremely easy for people to find what they’re looking for. Your site doesn’t need to look like everyone else’s. Just use Web Conventions to help make it super easy for someone to buy what you’re selling.

So now you know the keys to increasing sales by making your site more usable. Before you forget, take a look at the F/R/E/E ebook “How to Flood Your Website With Targeted Traffic”. You should do it now before your competitors find out about it.

5 Ways to Grow Your Internet Affiliate Business Organically

By MoneyMan | July 28, 2007

Growing your internet home business organically means there are similarities to organic farming. An organic farmer knows that if he develops healthy soil, he will have healthy plants. He also knows that “to every thing there is a time and a season.” You can’t harvest in the spring, or plant in the winter.

1. Nourishing the soil in preparation for planting your business means identifying your expertise and passion, and researching to find out what’s “hot”. What is it you want to grow? What seeds do you already have? What affiliate program suits you best? Find the product or products you can endorse, the company with a history that also offers the best commission rate, the experienced team that will support and help you all the way.

Next research your competition. Who are they? Why would a customer rather buy from you? Study their websites and find your niche. What makes your site special? The beauty of the internet is that the “playing field” is level. Big biz competes side by side with small.

2. Promoting your business is like irrigating and cultivating. How and where will you place ads? Keep exact records of where you advertise and what results you achieve. Prune back what doesn’t work. Link to like sites with good content.

3. Nourishment is adding articles, maybe a blog, tweak that website! Search engines love changes. Nourish your mind, too. Read the success stories of those who have gone before, join a business organization and connect with mentors, form partnerships. There is nothing to keep you from joining your local Chamber of Commerce. Swap ads with webmasters whose sites complement yours.

4. Before you know it, you may be swamped and need some help. The “organic” way to grow is to ask family members to pitch in. They’re already expecting to share the wealth once it’s harvest time anyways, they’ll probably be willing to help get you there.

5. After you’ve harvested, at some point you will think about planting new seeds. Once your website is getting lots of hits and your business is blooming, your articles are out there and your name is being recognized, you can capitalize on your success by developing a product of your own. It will seem natural to turn your articles into a book, or develop an internet business course or newsletter.

There’s nothing easy or effortless about developing your own business, but also nothing quite as exciting or rewarding.

Time to start nourishing that soil…

5 illustrious strategies to explode your web site traffic

By MoneyMan | July 27, 2007

Are you spending hundreds of dollars on advertising campaigns, only to find out that you have earned a very small profit or none at all? Here are 5 illustrious strategies that will help you explode and create viral traffic to your web site.

1.Reciprocal Links – Think of reciprocal linking as a mini joint venture. Go to any major search engine and search for sites that are related or similar to yours. The majority of web masters that exchange links with other web sites have a links page. Look for the links page and see if they provide instructions on how you should link to their web site. Contact the web master and inform him/her that you have linked to their web site and request that they link to your web site in return. Remember to provide the web master with the page that you have placed their link on. Always make sure that you provide the web master with your web site url, title and description so that he/she can link to your web site in return.

If you keep contacting other web sites on a consistent basis,at least 10% of the web masters that you contact will exchange links with you. You will receive traffic from your link partners and also from the search engines. Link popularity is a major part of the search engines algorithm. Remember to only contact web masters with related web sites that have a links page. Contacting unrelated web sites can result in spam complaints.

2.Writing Articles – This strategy creates viral traffic from all different angles. The key here is to provide a resource box at the end of your article with a link to your web site. Once you write your article you will need to submit it to the many different announcement lists on the internet. There are companies that will charge you a small fee to submit your articles for you, or you can submit them on your own for free. Once you submit your articles the potential for hundreds of visitors begins. Ezine publishers can send your article to thousands of readers and other publishers will place your article on their web sites.

If you have a good resource biography at the end of your article hundreds of people may visit your web site. Your rankings will start to rise on the search engines due to high link popularity, creating another source of traffic.

3.Affiliate Programs – This is probably the most rewarding strategy to create viral traffic to your web site. The idea here is to recruit an unlimited number of affiliates that are willing to sell your products for a commission. You never lose money with this strategy because you only pay your affiliates when they make a sale. This strategy will also increase your link popularity since many of the affiliates will send traffic to your web site by linking directly to it. If you do your research you will find companies that can setup an affiliate program for you. Another option is to purchase software that allows you to setup your affiliate program.

4.Free Services – Providing free services is a strategy that yahoo and microsoft have been using for years. The idea here is to provide a free version of a service and a paid version. If someone upgrades to the paid version of your service they should be able to benefit from extra features. This strategy can easily explode the traffic to your web site if you provide a useful service. Visitors will refer others to visit your web site creating a never ending flow of traffic.

5.Manual traffic exchanges – A traffic exchange allows you to visit other web sites in exchange for visitors to your own web site. Many traffic exchanges have a referral system in place. If you refer someone to join the traffic exchange, you receive a percentage of visits to your web site any time your referrals surf the exchange. The key here is to do your research and look for a traffic exchange that has a good anti-cheating system. A good anti-cheating system will ensure that only real visitors are looking at your web site.

These are 5 illustrious strategies that can explode your web site traffic. Implement some or all of these strategies into your marketing plan and you will create a never ending source of viral traffic to your web site.

5 Ways to Entice Your Parallel Market to Trade Links

By MoneyMan | July 26, 2007

Lots of people get confounded when attempting to exchange links, you’re not alone. The people who have the spot you want are competitors. The people who don’t aren’t worth exchanging links with. What to do?

It’s not necessarily the method you’re using, it may be the approach.

If you know anything about SEO, you know you need relevant links to your site, preferably more in than you have out. And whether you actively pursue search engine listings or not, you’ll find that many surfers travel the web through the links they find, often without realizing it.

So how do you achieve this without linking to the sites you are competing with?

Think Parallel Markets.

When most people think of this term, they are speaking from an investment standpoint. In this discussion, I’m simply referring to groups of products and services which cater to people with similiar needs.

If your market is delivery or carry-out pizza, your market is fast food. But your parallel market might be frozen pizzas, Italian food store chains, or cheese, maybe even films.

Pizza delivery chains offer free DVDs with a delivery order because they figure that people who eat pizza at home watch films while they eat - ordering in and watching a movie is (sadly) the new third date.

To discover your parallel market, think of things that your customers have in common that brings them to your site, then eliminate things that compete.

So now you know *who* to ask to link to you. But *how* do you get them to link back?

Especially as a new webmaster, it helps if you think from the opposing end of your desires.

Meaning that, before you ask for something, think of what you can give in return. What are the other person’s needs? If you don’t know, you can probably find out by subscribing to their newsletter or feed.

That way, when you write to them, instead of sending the standard cookie-cutter email, you can add personalized information that lets them know that you have been to their site repeatedly, list specific issues they have stated before, and use this information to make it worth their while.

Which email would you answer? The one that is obviously a copy, personalized only with your email address? Or the one that states your name and shows that the other person has actually been to your site before?

So take a look at your site. Why should anyone link to you? What will they get out of the deal? Is your site a great resource? Do you have a higher Google PR? Do you do site reviews? Or maybe you’ll just use whatever text they ask for?

When you first start out, with no links back to your site, find other people in your parallel markets who need links too. You’re both in the same boat. Help each other.

Then as you see your traffic rising, you can start going after bigger and bigger fish. But again, make it worth their while.

Here are some ways in which you can make a link trade a little more attractive.

Method One: The Recommendation Exchange

When I know of a site that sells inexpensive tools for new marketers that are ready to advance to the next level, I refer a lot of my more advanced crowd to them, and they send me their beginners.

So in approaching them, I might tell them that not only have I already linked to them, but if they link back I’ll also write about them in my blog and my newsletter. Costs me nothing but an extra five minutes, and I’m more likely to get a little bit more than the link trade.

Method Two: The Bribe

This can also increase your reputation as an expert in your field.

Pick five people who are a bit more knowledgeable than you. Ask them if they’d like to be interviewed, for a collection, and offer to distribute the resulting resource for free to their audience, if they’ll link to your home page, where the free ebook can be downloaded.

You’ve got their link, they’ve got free publicity in a book they can - and probably will - distribute for you.

Method Three: Use That Feed

There are the sites that want to carry a relevant, frequently updated feed in order to get more search engine visits. So, if you have a feed, you could send that webmaster a link to your feed, and tell them how they can use tools like CARP, RSS Equalizer or RSS Digest to display your feed on their site.

If you update daily, and you’re willing to take the bandwidth hit, you might find that they don’t even mind a one way link.

Method Four: The Barter

Give them a free copy of your book if they’d link to you. Offer to link back to them if they’ll write a testimonial about the book.

Method Five: The Testimonial

This is a slight variation on the recommendation, because it sometimes ends up as more of a one-way trade.

If you sincerely enjoy a service or product that you bought, go back and pull up the sales page. If the links on the page for the testimonials are live, offer your testimonial.

Caution: Only offer testimonials on products you really used and benefitted from. It’s fine to put your name on something controversial if you really believe in it, but if you give a testimonial just for a link back to your site, you’re messing with your good name.

You should also know that they may not use your testimonial on their site, unless it’s really good - so and try to be as specific as possible about how their product helped you.

The point is, if you think creatively, you can solve your linking problem.

5 Home Office Essentials

By MoneyMan | July 25, 2007

Once you’ve settled into the idea of running a business from home you need to make a choice. What type of office setup do you need? It’s beyond the scope of this article to detail each and every item required for the perfect home office. Instead we will focus on hints and tips for creating a more ideal home working environment.

Desk

Those newspaper ads always prompted you to “start a business from your kitchen table”. While this works well in newspaper adverts it’s not nearly as practical in real life. A good home office desk is a basic requirement and should be quite basic. Avoid desks with keyboard trays and nooks and crannies spread all over it - this just gives you more places to lose things. The ideal home office desk will have a large, flat working area, at least one deep drawer for files and preferrably be L-shaped to allow for a more ergonomic home working environment.

Chair

Anybody running an online or other business from home is going to spend a considerable amount of time sitting down. It’s absolutely critical that you have a good office chair. Many people make the mistake of using a kitchen or spare household chair as the chair for their home office. This is a bad idea because using an insufficient chair can and will lead to lower back and shoulder pain and also looks unprofessional. The ideal home office chair has the following features:

A great home office chair can be purchased for as little as $60 brand new. The moral of the story is - don’t skimp on your home office chair.

Environment

There are 3 key factors to having a suitable home working environment. Noise, Light and Heat.

Noise - excessive noise (above say 45 decibels or a really loud office fan) is counter productive to your work. You’ll have trouble focusing on anything or thinking clearly for more than a few minutes. Your home office space needs to be as quiet as you need it to be. So avoid using laundry rooms or other areas with excessively noisy equipment.

Light - the light in your home office needs to be controlled. Too bright and it will produce glare on computer screens and documents. Too dim and it will cause eyestrain. Natural light is ideal because it gives diffuse (soft) light. To achieve diffuse lighting at nighttime set up your desk lamp off to one side of your desk. Adjust it until you have enough light to read conformtably.

Heat - this is simple. Your work space should be neither too hot nor too cold. Any extremes of temperature in your home office will lead to decreased work performance. Room temperature is 37 degrees celsius so aim for something in that region.

Decoration

There’s no need for your home office to be sterile and boring. Plants are one healthy addition. The colour green has a positive affect on our way of thinking and the fact that plants will filter out the toxins in the air around you is another plus.

Also consider using some motivational posters in your home office. This might seem a bit cheesy but if you choose a message that inspires you personally it can be very effective.

Last but not least consider having your mission statement printed out, framed and on your desk in front of you. Your mission statement is the reason you started your home business - make sure you are reminded of this every single day.

Computer equipment

This is where you need to be very honest with yourself because of the potential expense involved. A home office does not need an all singing all dancing computer and printer. You need functionality and not tons of features.

Buy what you need for your business. Do not buy what you want for yourself.

When buying your home office computer take these tips into consideration:

Printer - you don’t need a top of the range color laserjet printer for your home office do you? I didn’t think so.

Questions you should ask yourself when buying a printer:

5 Ways to Build a Downline

By MoneyMan | July 24, 2007

We all know that joining an affiliate program is worth absolutely nothing unless you have a significant sales force under your belt to promote it and build your income… You join a program, you get a replicated website with your affiliate info, they give you ads to promote, and all that good stuff…

You’re all excited (you’re going to get some money!), but what now??? It’s like giving you an arsenal of weapons, but then leaving you in a gigantic field, telling you to go get them!!! Get whom? Go where and How? OK! You start running in all directions, getting tired by the minute.

The Internet can be the most confusing and distracting place you will ever be in… what you need is guidance and focus.

Downline building is a numbers game… A lot, and I mean ALOT of affiliates who signup will do nothing short of nothing, really! 5 to 10% of all signups will actually do what it takes to succeed… The rest, well, they signup and wait to earn money while doing nothing. So when I say it’s a numbers game, I mean the more you recruit, the more chances you have of finding diamonds in the rough…

I will give you 5 ways to start building your downline empire…

1. Advertise in Ezines

Find Ezines or Newsletter directly related to what you’re advertising. If you’re advertising a Home Business Affiliate Program, find Ezines that are related to Home Business Opportunities, since it’s readers subscribed to be informed of money making opportunities. Remember to keep track of your advertisement’s performance, so you can weed out the ezines that are not providing a good response.

2. Pay-Per-Click

PPC is a great way to bring in affiliates. By bidding on a particular keyword or phrase, you can target exactly the people wanting to register to your affiliate program. Well researched keyword bidding can turn out to be your best investment ever, if you know how… There are many good books on the subject. There’s one called “PPC Dynamic” in the “Promotion Guide” Section of my website for FREE (see resource box for address), if you need to refer to it.

3. Guaranteed sign-ups

Another great tool… you pay for the amount of signups you want. They cost a little more, but in my opinion, they’re worth it… You can buy 25 signups for $15-$20, but you need to have a great follow-up email sequence to motivate them and give them the support they need to succeed.

4. Writing articles

What’s better then look like an expert in your field… You need to “Brand” yourself to the marketing world. By writing articles related to your market, you will be perceived as a super-affiliate. Explaining some aspects of affiliate programs and their benefits, you entice people to listen to what you have to say. They see your name and recognize you, and come to trust you.

Once you write your articles, submit them to Articles Directories where Internet Marketers can go and grab your articles for their Ezines. Hey! FREE advertising!

Note: Be sure to include a resources box at the end of your articles telling people who you are, what you do and where they can find you.

5. Signature files

Another free way to advertise… Viral Marketing… At the end of every email you send, include a one or two liner, plugging your affiliate program or a free book leading them to your promotion website. You just can’t image how far an email can go without any effort whatsoever.

** Well, there you have it… these 5 ways are not the only ways, but they are the ones I use, and am most satisfied with.

One more thing you need to do… Give your tips and techniques on how to promote to your downline… It’s called “Duplication”… If you help them succeed, then and only then, will you be successful. Be there for your Downline, and it will reward you in many ways! :-)

To your success…
